Pray for Unity

As I have read posts from various groups the past few days, I see a theme emerging. We need to pray for unity among those who are on the ground in Haiti. Everyone has a common goal, to heal and restore hope to a broken people. One group has this way of doing things, another group has a far different plan. We see this all over our world and right now, we need to come together, find our common ground and fight our common enemy.

Dear Jesus, You are the only Lord and King, Ruler of everything. You are in Haiti, just as you are with us who are not able to be there. Unite hearts, bring a peace to each one who is far from home and the comforts and safety of what is familiar. People are weary, they have taken in so many sights, sounds, smells and they are on emotional overload. Help them to bind together and not take things out on one another. Bring a spirit of unity and peace to each tent camp, tent hospital, military unit, humanitarian team...Above all, we want to hear Your name exalted. So many went to Haiti to help others, but I pray for those who do not yet know You. May this experience bring them to their knees, crying out for Your mercy and forgiveness, accepting You as their Lord and Savior...
